We are coming up on the tenth anniversary of my churchin in Collinsville. Lot of people made mistakes including myself but the onus of the matter lay with the process the church or rather three or four women who got the deacons to go after me adopted. They were pretty much ignorant on the matter and instead of calling in the three or four women including the pastors wife they codified a procedure foreign to the conflict and the rest is reported in the UTenn book The Exiled Generation.
A more mature church might have have gained insight from the following

Looks like as of today I can no longer post my comments on the facebook wall of Collinsville Public Library.
My latest was about the legal status of two Hispanic children and whether the librarian uses these touching photos for resume fodder with her arrangements with Auburn Democracy Project which goes to the heart of the Baptist progressive movement in the state through Mark Wilson and Wayne Flynt and FBC Auburn.

http://southerntorch.com/a-fateful-decision/The pastor does tell a good story from time to time in his weekly column in The Torch where his 4th son JoJo is the editor.
There is another Collinsville Story about The Bird and Collinsville, this one from the Sacred Harp singing. I may blog it later and link here but got to give the preacher his due on this one whether or not I can attend the church where my Mother was baptized

Joseph Morgan is the publisher. His Dad, the pastor of CBC has a weekly "faith" column in the paper where he boasts the Truth is told.
I questioned Rev Morgan's prophetic witness in the face of Donald Trump, the NRA and state rep Phil Williams and Jojo started whining.

Kicker of a quote.
Jojo reports Ms Sandra as saying: " I think we've done good here in Collinsville." Her father in law also made memorable statement about Martin Luther King Jr at Traffanstedt store in 1988 in the presence of me and my father and Nick's grandfather. Nick is my friend as is Cody Mcateer. Little Beene comes from an interesting family as well combined with the Gilbreaths. Lot of history in this baseball championship. I hope these boys do well and they grow in wisdom about their roots as their journey continues

Pastor John Morgan Loves His Family

http://southerntorch.com/walking-through-time/I hope his beloved wife Gloria knows how much my Mother loved hers, even her oldest son.
Gloria conspired with Jennifer Wilkins to have Stephen ousted from the Collinville Baptist Church where my Mother's family goes back to the 1840s. Gloria was successful in her campaign and never sat down with Jennifer Wilkins, Stephen, Martha Barksdale and the Myers brothers to work things out. She jerked strings behind the scenes.
Such is not the politics of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Thank you David Flick

Going a few rounds with the Social studies teacher in Collinsville who has about 7 extended family members graduates of Auburn, one nephew who was in Wayne Flynt's Sunday School class. Here is the topic in question
http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/ ... iles-nexusI do appreciate Thornton's kind words about Martha's Apotheosis. Have some baseball stories for him soon, likely in a soon to be posted blog.

CBC's Gloria Morgan and CBS 60 Minutres

Gloria Morgan, the wife of the 40 year pastor of Collinsville Baptist Church has a sister mary Roberts in Marietta. Mary and husband Bob are influential members of Bryant Wright's Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. JFerry was spotlighted Sunday night on CBS 60 Minutes for embrace of Seven Syrian Refufee families. Easy Google.
Mary is a frequent visitor to Collinsville, near perfect attendance at the annual Collinsville Ladies Christian Retreat Weekend Gloria leads.
Johnson Ferry Syrian connection has obvious reverberations for Trey Gowdy and FBC Spartanburg as Gowdy is a member of the House Immigration Committee and there are several entanglements between the staff and Wright and the two churches. Wright is a grad of U South Carolina.

Community Christmas service. Should Fox be allowed

Here is one for a Baptist technocrat, church polity experts like Willie Tee and others on this board.
The Collinsville Community Christmas Service will be held at the Baptist church on the Indian Mound, the One I was voted off the property in 2006, May 28. The Community Christmas service is there this year Dec 4. I am in good standing in several churches in the community and have attended Revivals, Historic occasions, UMC bishop presentations and funerals the last ten years.
Since it is a community event, should I be allowed to attend Sunday evening without fear of being arrested?

Why don't you ask the pastor if you can attend if you keep your mouth shut? If the answer is no then why go where you're not wanted?
Do you have a restraining order?
