BTSR Graduation

Today was the 19th graduation in the twenty year history of Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. The graduation was held in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Richmond with between 400 and 500 present. It was my privilege to be there for our son to receive his MDiv degree. It was a beautifully done graduation with a very meaningful address from Dr. Phyllis Rodgerson-Pleasants, who is leaving her teaching position with the seminary at the end of this term. I was excited and very proud of our son who received two awards in the ceremonies. There was a spirit of excitement with the forward moves of the seminary. It was a great day to be there, even if I am a proud father today.

BTW, do you know where Phillis is going? She was the grader in a couple classes that I took at SBTS (90-92). She and Conrad where also members of St Mathews B.C., in Louisville when we where there.

Ed: Thank You for the up date on Phyllis I had been aware of Conrad's dementia but I was not aware of his death. She certainly deserves a break. Beside caring for Conrad she has been teaching steadily since finishing her Doctorate in the early 90's .
