To all the rest of the BL.C family I have invited David Flick be a formal part of the program for the Spring meeting of BFN (Baptist Fellowship of the Northeast), as a representative to promote Bacone College where he is a Trustee. Bacone was as I understand it founded by by the old Northern Baptist Convention to serve Native American students and continues this tradition as the primary emphasis today with assistance from ABC-USA. CBF, other Baptist and a wide array of additional benefactors.

NOTE!!! For the 8 years that we have been up here (Up state NY) I have written BFNE, for the Baptist Fellowship of the Northeast but this past weekend Ken Hale our Coordinator reminded all of us that Northeast is one word, and to write the abbreviation with an E leads people to think New England. But we are the BF ]Northeast because New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, each a part of our region, are not in New England as are our other states of VT, ME, MA, NH, CT, & RI.

We would be glad to have any or all of you show up for a BL.C reunion and help us celebrate BFN on May 6th and 7th 2011. If you can make it please let us know, as there will be a meal on Friday evening and lunch on Saturday, and we need to be prepared. John Pierce of Baptists Today will be the featured speaker. Perhaps we will also have a vocal group from a nearby National Baptist/ABC-USA church. I will be taking John and David on a tour of the Capital area Including the First Church of Albany which is not Baptist but Reformed. If anyone else wants to join the tour on Friday afternoon give me a heads up so we may arrange transportation. The actual meeting will start with a meal around 5:00 P.M. Friday.
