Ed: I see several have read this advisory but not a lot of response. Also Trudy has not posted any thing new as we have been with out internet connection for almost a week, until today. We srk at A pent the weekend In Backbone State Park near Strawberry Point Wisconsin. We are now in an RV park near Urbana Iowa. Trudy should be back on line latter today.

Clickable links from BaptistLife.com are hard to do because the site is not secure. I have asked Bruce to look into getting https, but have not heard back yet. The lack of this makes blogspot refuse live links from here, and keeps me from posting live links to here on Facebook...

I'm not sure about the security issues and problems, but I think this link will work. I'll see.

Trudy's Travels, Treasures and Travails

Here it is broken down, with spaces so it doesn't create another as above:

[url=
then the url: http://trudystrips.blogspot.com/
then a closed bracket: ]
then the title: Trudy's Travels, Treasures and Travails
then finally closing the link with [/url]

Not sure that makes sense, or sure of the best way to explain it!

Thanks, Robert! It didn't allow me to do that a few days ago. The link would go to a Blogspot error page complaining about security issues with BL.com.

And now it's letting me link to here on Facebook, too, which it hasn't allowed in months, maybe over a year. I wonder if Bruce did something (we're still on http, not https) or if my browser adjusted itself, or what.

Ed: I also want to thank Robert, yet I am wondering what happened because the format he offered is what I had used for a long time but had not worked this week when trying to link Trudy's Blog to BL.c .

Yeah, you tried it, and it didn't work, then I went into your post (removing the duplicate post) and retyped it to be sure, and it still didn't work. At which point I emailed Bruce, who said he would look into https, but he was afraid it might cost a lot more for the server.

So I'm not sure why it works now for Robert (and for me, now) but didn't for either of us last week...

FYI, I'm pretty sure I originally learned that from Leland.

I'm glad the links are working now on FB, as they should have all along, I did discover.

We are now in Nappanee Indiana, at the Newmar factory having some routine maintenance and some warranty work performed.

We will go into Chicago on Saturday to see USF Play Illinois.

South Florida. Got it. (I read USF as University of San Francisco by default. Sorry, Floridians, New Mexicans, and overeducated Valley Girls!)

Ed: I had the date wrong for the Illinois game that is next Saturday. We will go into Soldiers field via train from Michigan City In., next Saturday. Yesterday USF defeated Georgia Tech.

They have pretty adequate facilities here for customers, except no Wi fi in the coach parking area, so I have to pack up the computer and bring it over to the service reception area.

This morning we attended a "Missionary" Mega church, Nappanee Missionary Church, Something like 750 at the 11:30 service. Not bad for a country church.

Nappanee is near the center of one of Indiana's Amish areas. Yesterday the town was full of horse and buggies today we saw only one as we traversed the main streets, twice.

Ed: USF is now 3 for 3 in the 2018 season after a defeating Illinois in a great game. We plan to be home so we can make this weeks game in Tampa on Saturday.

To day we are just outside of Knoxville Tn., It happens our middle son who is about to retire from the AIr Force is in Knoxville looking for a home this week. We plan on getting together with them for a while to-day

You should have waved. I was in one of the sky boxes in tier 2. A friend of mine works for a company that owns the box, or leases it, and he's an Illinois alum. No one from his company was using it for the Illinois game, so he got it. Nice place to watch a game. It was kind of quiet up there, only a few boxes were occupied, but it had a great view.

Ed: The air conditioning in a company box would have nice. we where in the north end zone row 9. Trudy got her face burned pretty bad, despite a hat with a brim, her lower lip is still somewhat swollen.

Last evening we where in Buccaneer Stadium to watch USF eke out a win over Eastern Carolina. Not sure what the problem was but South Florida did not look as good as they had the previous week. East Carolina led all the stats, except for penalties and the final score. . All though our Season tickets alow us acess to "Club" area we did not visit it, since this was a night game and the weather was good. The Bulls are now 4 for 4.

Ed: For the most part she is is recovering well except for her lower lip, yet she says even that does not hurt nearly as bad as it did the first several days. Thanks for noticing my comment about it..
