Back in Florida

We are back at our winter address in Claremont Fl., and getting settled in again. Still looking for a church home. Sunday we visited (Beacon Hill Fellowship) in Lakeland.

They seem to be a vibrant, warm and welcoming. A number of retired church professionals. Music was great for a small congregation (40). The Pastor provides the outline of his sermon on the back page of the bulletin, and follows it closely. His card identifies him as the "Pastor & Teaching Elder".

This is a "united" church, CBF and Presbyterian, not sure what branch of the latter. They have a ministry to homeless individuals, I have no details on this.

The big drawback for us is that it is a 50 min drive each way, about half of that is on I-4 and US 27 is not bad on Sunday. Traffic in Lakeland could be problematic.
