Pending Name Change for Central Seminary

Ed; Sandy what is the WVCSB. West Virginia has long been the most conservative region of the ABC/USA.

Also what does this have to do with the up coming name change from Central Baptist Theological Seminary to the Marshall School of Theology?

BTW as I type we have our rig parked in the Back Parking lot at CENTRAL. We arrived here from Muskogee Ok last evening, we where met by with John Park, Director of the D. Min Program who took us to a nearby Chinese restaurant. Dr. Marshall (better known to some of us as "Molly"
going back to the days we where all at SBTS.) , is In Nashville for a coupe days but has invited us to attend Church with her on Sunday Morning.

To day we will find a laundromat and a supermarket to get ready for the next few weeks of travel. Trudy is checking out RV Parks in the Jefferson city MO area where we plan to visit family for a few days.

While you're there, Ed, would you find out enough to explain the name change?

Ed: William, it turns out that I had jumped the gun a bit. We haven't seen Molly as off yet ( as noted earlier she is out of town, however she is scheduled to pick us up for church in the morning) but when I broached the subject with a small group of the administrative staff who where visiting our coach yesterday afternoon, they where surprised that I knew about it. It seems they are still in the planing stages of a Celebration of the change. much closer to the official day of the actual change over. At that time I anticipate a number of press releases that will be designed to speak to such questions.

Ed: True to the pre planning by Molly and Trudy Molly pulled up to or Motor home Parked in Central Seminary's at 8:15 to pick Trudy and I up to go to Prairie Baptist Church which we believe is in Overland Park But the bulletin only says "Prairie Baptist Church Serving as the hands of Christ in the Greater Kansas City area" .

This was one of the very few churches I have been in over the past few years where a late comer might need an usher to help them find a seat.

The congregation was made upof the widest age spread that I have seen in several years First graders through Senior Adults older than even JEP.

There where two Baptisms of 2 youth who in fact had already been Baptizedc a few weeks ago while on a Mission trip to Nicaragua, but when their church family expressed appointment at not seeing this step in their Christian commitment the agreed to do it again.

After Church Molly treated us to lunch at one of her favorite Bar-B-Que places. On the way she pointed out the Sub-division where she still lives in the home that she and her late husband, Dr. Doug Green, bought when he moved his medical Practice to KC, even before she had a permanent position at Central. We rode in a brand new Leased Buick SUV, The trustees lease a new car for her every three years.
She had just picked it up on Thursday before flying to Nashville for a Women's conference with a group of Centrals D. Min Students, in that city.
