CBFVA General Assembly

Friday, September 18th, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia gathered in the Richmond suburb of Mechanicsville for the annual state General Assembly. We had somewhere close to 200 in attendance, enjoyed a great day of fellowship, honored our outgoing coordinator, Rob Fox, with the presentation of a 2-person kayak, shared a Bible study led by Bo Prosser, affirmed a search committee to seek our next coordinator, and adopted a budget that reflects a commitment to the future. It was a great day for Virginia CBF to share a one-hour skyped interview with the Director of our new mission partners, Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec which was done over lunch by Mark and Kim Wyatt, CBF Field Personnel, and we shared a closing worship led by Jennifer Lau from Canadian Baptist Missions. We also chose a moderator elect who is under thirty, a reflection of the youthfulness of CBFVA. I am privileged now to serve as their Interim Coordinator and have a front-row seat for what God is doing through CBFVA.
