BFNE Spring Meeting

Postby Ed Pettibone » Sat May 02, 2015 2:41 pm

Last Evening and this morning BFNE held our annual assembly. This year was real convenient for me as it was only 7 mile up the road 1st BC Ballston SPA (ABC-USA) . Trudy unfortunately had a conflict in the form of a regional Ministers retreat over around Syracuse.

We had folk there from NYC, Niagara Falls Canada, and four different locations in Connecticut, as well as as our former region co-ordinators Ken and Sandy Hale from New Hampsire plus four spots in Up State New York, despite the aforementioned NYS Ministers retreat.

Last evening the Featured speaker was the Rev. Dr. Ray Schooler Who presently serves as Director of Development for ABC-USA's International Ministries. Previously he Served as president of International Ministries, After having served a variety of Local Church positions first in the SBC and then ABC-USA. He and his wife (Gail) Live in Buffalo, Ny

He did a compare and contrast of how ABC-USA, IM and CBF's Global missions carry out their ministries often working together.

This morning we heard from Lori Irons-Crenshaw who serves as Feild Personnel Selection Manager for CBF Global Missions. Lori reminded that the design of CBF is set up to accommodate change and that there are indeed changes on the drawing board and the staff is working hard to hear ideas and thoughts of what is working well and those things that need tweaking as well as those that have served their purpose and need to be discarded.
