The Fall BFNE Retreat has been at the Walker Ecumenical Center all most every year since we Came to the North East in 2002. It is located in Auburndale, MA a suburb of Boston.n. The Walker Center is a great place for a retreat and a visit to Boston. It is only about 1/4 mile down the hill to a rail station where you can catch a train to Downtown Boston. The ride is about 30 min. I invite you to use the http://www.walkerctr.org link to look around the center.

Virginia's CBF's Wanda Kidd, will be with us on Friday to discuss College Ministries. Other than the business meeting I am not sure of Saturday's agenda.

As for Saturday's agenda, it's a day when you're supposed to rest and do no work and remember that your ancestors were slaves in the land of Egypt.

Ed: Good Meeting, devoted Primarily to discussion of CBF involvement with Collegiate ministries. In my first post of this thread I mistakenly Identified our guest speaker Wanda Kidd as being from the Virginia CBF, She is from NORTH CAROLINA and Splits her work schedule between NC CBF and the National CBF Office in Atlanta promoting Collegiate Ministries. We had 19 Folk at this retreat. It has ranged from 12 to 22 during the 12 years that we have been in the NE.

This weekend there where two that I have not met before. Our current Moderator is James Touchton the protestant Chaplin at Ithaca College, here in NY. Old timers who haven't been with us for a while but did attend this weekend where Ronnie Adams from the Rauschenbush Center NYC http://www.thefellowship.info/adams and Dale W. Peterson, http://divinity.yale.edu/peterson , Other Regulars included Patty Robinson of Bay Community Baptist Church in MA, Rev. Mary Beth Caffey pastor of an ABC church in Main, Jason Coker pastor at Wilton Connecticut and our new Co-ordinator Phylis Boozer also from Wilton, Rev Randy Parks a nursing home Chaplin from New Jersey, plus Trudy and I, two regulars from Boston Rev. 'David Draper and one of his congregants who I know only as Tommy. Tommy is a Boston native. James also brought 2 of his Ithaca students, in addition three students from Yale Divinity school where there, one of those was Timothy Peoples who has also attended our spring meeting . The two Ithaca students provided music for our worship periods. Inspired by the hymn worship was focused on "Be Thou My Vision"

One of the major topics was how we might coordinate the BFN efforts for collegiate Ministry with the 10 ABC-USA regions that BFN overlaps. Those are Connecticut, Rhode Island , New Hampshire /Vermont , Main, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts and the three regions of New York, ABC of Metro NY, ABC of New York State, along with ABC of the Rochester-Genesee area.
