I was disappointed to see 16 views of the original post and only 6 views in the prayer request forum with 0 comments.

So here is what I posted in the Prayer request forum perhaps the other 10 who viewed the first post here where lurkers who could not read it in the Prayer request forum.

Attendance at our fall retreat for the Baptist Fellowship of the Northeast was seriously hampered Friday and Saturday due to Sandy the Storm. First of all we where supposed to have had Pat Anderson the Interim Executive Coordinator of the National CBF Office in Atlanta as our speaker but he felt a need to be in NYC with our friends the staff ( the http://rmmnyc.org/staff/ of Metro BC and the Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries with the increased ministry load as more than usual the homeless turn to them for assistance. Also the folk at Meto have not been able to make contact with Rev. Ken Bogan or his Wife Betty, Ken is Pastor of Greater Restoration in Brooklyn. Another Member of Metro Randy Parks who works as a Chaplin at a nursing home in new Jersey and is a Member of the CBF national coordinating council is working nearly round the clock due to staff shortages and his family are living in a shelter due to power outage and some damage to their home. Pastor Jason Coker and Family, his wife and three children of the Wilton Baptist Church where able to join us. The appreciated the opportunity to take showers and to eat freshly prepared food as they had been living W/O power for a week, Pam Coker says it was a real challenge to even drive out of their Sub division on Friday due to fallen trees and downed power lines. The only work to clear their immediate area is what the neighbors them selves have been able to do . The have seen no power company or Municipal workers. Jason did get to the Church (5 miles away) on Wednesday and every thing there was fine.
