Iron Bowl and Voter Suppression

ABP report is above.

I would hope Covenant leadership would take a strong look at the SEC Football league, Auburn in particular and Mike Hubbard. In no uncertain terms with the input of Taylor Branch, a product of 2nd Ponce de leon BC in Atlanta they should condemn Bama House Speaker Mike Hubbard and his voter suppression strategies while he continues to make his small Bama fortune on the backs of people of Color. Wayne Flynt should have something to say about this matter as well. Bring it to the attention of John Grisham who spoke in Atlanta in 2009.

And Hubbard, Bama House Speaker, is out to lunch on church state issues, promoting a school prayer strategy that is about the same as Jesse Helms. BTW, Hubbard works hand in glove in bama with Albert Lee Smith's widow, Eunie Smith, key in Bama's atrocious immigration bill; and the two of them fight Affordable Heath Care with impunity.

If the Covenant wants to have a prophetic word that makes a different, engage the SEC.

Harvard's Tomiko Brown-Nagin

Postby Stephen Fox » Fri Dec 06, 2013 3:29 pm

Tomiko is a late 90s grad of Furman now in the History Department at Harvard. A Greenwood S.C. she would make a sterling panelist along with Cynthia Tucker and Taylor Branch to discuss Mike Hubbard's strange career as Bama's House Speaker in the shadows and mostly in concert with Bama's SBC Deacon Governor Bentley.

Mark Wilson was on the search committee to bring Mark FBC Auburn's Tripp Martin to that congregation in October. In fact I think Wilson chaired the committee. At Auburn Mark directs the Auburn University Living Democracy project. Enter that exact title on Facebook. Would be grand to have Mark lead a complementary breakout to the one on Hubbard and voter suppression.
