Hello everyone! My name is Matt Barnes. I am a moderate Southern Baptist who is living in Pasadena, CA where I am working on a PhD in New Testament at Fuller Seminary. I have been married for more than five years to a wonderful woman; we have one child -- a miniature Schnauzer named Sunnie Bernice!

Welcome, Matt. Our pastor (at ) Judy Gay is a Fuller MDiv (from the Seattle extension campus). We're ABCUSA (Evergreen Region).

When you say you're a moderate Southern Baptist does that mean CBF, or heading that way, or resigned to marginalization within your denomination, or what? (Don't answer here, come to think of it; start a thread in your choice of the Baptist or Southern Baptist forums.)
