I found this site awhile back while searching the Internet. I am a Baptist preacher in East Texas (married; 2 grown children) and of a somewhat "hardshellish" variety (a primitivist, but not affiliated with the Primitive Baptists). One chief interest of mine is Baptist history; another is Sacred Harp singing.
I live in East Texas, behind what a local newspaperman dubbed The Pine Curtain. Anne Wilkes Tucker defined The Pine Curtain as "the north-south botanical divide that separates East Texas from the rest of the state in vegetation as well as in culture and economy." (Weeping Mary, O. Rufus Lovett, p. 16)
I will probably mostly read rather than post. If I do interact, it will most likely be on historical rather than theological topics.
