Are their many differnt synods or fellowships of baptist all with their own teachings or doctrines meaning perhaps small or large different beliefs?

and are all baptist no matter what synod or fellowship you belong to is it ok with your pastors if you pray and worship togather at these differnet
baptist churches of differing beliefs?

or cant you because of different beliefs ?

Hey, there, Whiskey!

We Baptists can worship in oddball churches even without our pastors' approval. How about you? Can you worship in a Baptist church or an ELCA church?

We don't have Synods, but we have associations and conventions, which are voluntary cooperative agencies of autonomous congregations.

our wels congregation are only autonomous congregations in respect to
where scripture has not forbidden or commanded certain things of us.
we are only autonomous in matters of indifference to God.
such as what color we paint our churches. what day of the week we choose to have bible study. wheather are pastors were vestments or not.

we are governed by Gods word scripture
Christ is our only head we are to do or not do as he has said in scripture out of Love and thankfulness to him.

since we are governed by scripture Gods word .
we can not worship with church's that defend or teach error.
an example would be being led into worshiping at Mormon churches with Mormons
and being led in prayer by them or being led by their teachers in bible study .
this would break the scriptures rule on the first commandment.

We also beleive that if even what may appear to us as a small error is
defended or taught such as not believing God created the world in 6 days .
by a church the same action should be followed we can not be lead into worship or bible study or prayer by them either.
Because of what Jesus has said in romans 16:17.

If they want to worship and pray with us .
They must be willing to be led by us.
into prayer and worship and bible study.

where law and the gospel will be taught in the purity of scripture's teaching

and No we would concider it to be sining against what Jesus has said in romans 16:17 to be led into prayer or worship or bible study by any christian church other than a wels or els
or clc church of believers UNLESS of course after we examned there doctrines and it agreed with scripture .
Than we could worship and be led by them.

Hi robert,

What sort of exegesis leads you to say "Jesus says" anything in Romans 16:17. The "I" there seems to me clearly to be the apostle Paul.

I am sorry for your sake and the sake of your children and wife that you are willing to be led by folks who are so narrow-minded. It saddens me that you would turn away from Christ merely because of doctrinal differences with his professors.

I hope you will come to a less blindered view of the great God who has done these wonders for you, even to the point of dying for you on a cross of shame.
